ELO’s club champions for 2025 were decided at Butterdean on Saturday 29th November. Congratulations to all five of our new champions …
- Emily Atkinson – female club champion – W16 and above
- Jonathan Ellis – male club champion – M16 and above
- Peter Atkinson – junior running Light Green – W14 and M14
- Rebecca Mitchell – junior running Orange – W12 and M12
- Magnus Baillie – junior running Yellow – W10 and M10
There was a strong entry from club members across all five categories. Jonathan’s winning margin over Duncan Edmondson was less than a minute – as was Rebecca’s lead over her twin sister Jessica!
Trophies have been ordered for each champion and will be presented at a future club event.

ELO’s club champions for 2025 will be decided at Butterdean on Saturday 29th November. Champions will be decided in five categories …
- female club champion – W16 and above – born in 2010 or earlier male club champion – M16 and above – born in 2010 or earlierjunior running Light Green – W14 and M14 – born in 2011 or 2012junior running Orange – W12 and M12 – born in 2013 or 2014junior running Yellow – W10 and M10 – born in 2015 or later.
This is the first time that ELO champions will be decided at one of our own Saturday events and we hope this will encourage plenty of competition in all the categories.
ELO male and female overall club champions will be decided by the best performances on the longest course at Butterdean which will be Green at approximately 5.4km.The W/M14 winner will be the fastest finisher on the Light Green course. For W/M12 it will be the Orange course and for W/M10 it will be the fastest unassisted runner on the Yellow course*.
*For safety a junior can be shadowed on Yellow but if the shadower ends up helping then the junior should be declared non-competitive at Download.
Winners will be declared when courses close at 3:30. Trophies will be presented at a future club event to ELO’s champions.
Entries close on Monday 24th November. There may be some EOD but you should enter in advance to be sure of running your correct course.
