CompassSport Trophy
Sunday 22nd Feb 2026

ELO members are invited to enter the Scottish heat of this year’s CompassSport Trophy (CST). It is being staged near Aberfoyle on Sunday 22nd Feb 2026 by Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO).

The CST is an inter-club competition. Any member may score points for the club by entering and completing your ‘correct’ course (see the list of age categories below).

Event details and entries link are on the FVO website … https://www.fvo.org.uk/events/22-feb-2026.

The deadline for entries is Sunday 8th Feb.

Only three runners from each club can score points on any single course. So it is important to have both male and female runners right across the age range to maximise our scoring potential on all the courses available. Juniors have to be able to run their courses without help.

Lifts and car-sharing will be available. We have done well in recent years so come along and be part of our team on the day.

There are some changes to the rules this year – full rules are avaible on the BOF website – https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/doc/rules/competition-rule-u-compass-sport-cup.

FVO Trossachs weekend

FVO are also staging the Scottish Middle Championships at Callander the day before the CST. Here is some information from FVO about accommodation options for anyone wanting to stay locally and make a weekend of it …

“We also have lots of accommodation on site in glamping pods and motorhome spaces under preferential rates with the Loch Katrine Pier. In particular I am keen that orienteers book the remaining seven glamping pods so that orienteers have exclusive use of the glamping pod area so we can put a string course and ultrasprint for the younger kids (and maybe a few bigger kids!). Booking is done via the Loch Katrine Pier on on 01877332008 or emailing enquiries@lochkatrine.com and stating it is for the Trossachs Orienteering Event. More details are on the FVO website here under miscellaneous.”
