South of Scotland League 2026
The aim of the South of Scotland Orienteering League is to promote participation in orienteering beyond the local level by providing:
- larger, but still welcoming, events;
- high-quality courses;
- good areas;
- up-to-date maps.
ELO is planning to host our own event in the series at the start of November and this weekend sees the first event in the series taking place in Holyrood Park (and its not too late to enter even on the day).
You can enter any course – the white, yellow, orange, light green and green courses are the same standard as at any local event and there is a short green course as well as longer blue and brown courses which are the same difficulty as the green course but longer.
Sometimes, because more people enter these events, you get given a specific starting time but its not usually an issue if you don’t quite make it on time for that.
