Prestongrange & Levenhall
Wednesday 29th April

The first event in our Wednesday evening series was held at Prestongrange Museum and Levenhall Links on 29th April.
There was a good turnout from established orienteers and beginners including a group from Cockenzie Scouts and Cubs.
There were White and Yellow courses within the museum grounds. Orange and Long Orange courses included road crossings to and from Levenhall links and the coastal strip.
Results are now available. Thanks to all who came and said they enjoyed it.
The series of similar informal events will also visit three towns of East Lothian in the coming weeks:-
  • Wed 20th May – North Berwick – Lodge Grounds and the Glen
  • Wed 3rd June – Haddington – Neilson Park and the Tyne Path
  • Wed 17th June – Tranent – Polson Park and the Heugh
These events visit areas new to orienteering. They aim to provide an introduction to orienteering for beginners and a fast mid-week training run for experienced orienteers.

Apologies for misplacing a control on the longer courses – I hung it at the wrong end of the short earth bank. I hope you weren’t foxed for long.
