British Orienteering Championships
18th & 19th April

The British Championships were held this year in the lovely Forest of Dean at the south end of the border between England and Wales. The area was also used for the JK individual races in 2007.

Only three dedicated orienteers from ELO made the trip and all were rewarded with tidy performances in Saturday’s individual championship races. Sheila Strain was again our stand-out performer – finishing fifth in her age category.

In Sunday’s relay races Sheila ran with Robin Strain and Trina Rogerson to a solid result – especially as they were competing in the Men’s event.

Full results can be found here.

Bridgnorth in Shropshire will host this event in 2016.
