Congratulations Emily
Emily Atkinson has become Scottish Champion in her W14 category. The Scottish Individual Championships for 2022 were held by Grampian Orienteers at Glen Dye which is a typically tough Deeside forest.
ELO’s other medal winners were Emily’s brother Peter and her mum Jenny who each came third in their own categories.
The Scottish Championships Relay event was held the following day at nearby Sluie by Mar Orienteers. ELO fielded three teams and, while none of them covered themselves in glory, everybody completed their courses without mispunches in very challenging terrain.
