Thanks to everyone who came to run in the sunshine and to all the ELO helpers – including Tim Harding for handling the SI and results plus Tim Hayes for his barbecue expertise.
For the second time this week Grace Molloy had the fastest time on our top course.
And well done to Lee Curtis for a good run on Green less than a week after completing the West Highland Way in 27 hours!

Please note that all courses may meet some nettles so full leg cover is recommended. (However no bear spray is required)
Type of event: Local event in the East of Scotland Orienteering Association (ESOA)  series
Type of terrain: Mixed woodland, open land.
None of the courses will be visiting the Spike Island dune area for this event.

General Information

Other Users: The woods and the beach and shore areas are very well used by the general public. Please respect their right to be there at the same time as you are orienteering. Please observe any out of bounds areas.
Dogs: Area is well used by dog walkers so dogs are welcome.

Directions:  Car park accessed by minor road signposted from A1087 west of Dunbar. There is a £2 charge for parking.

Registration & Start Times

Registration: From 1:00pm to 3.00pm at the car park. Pre-entry is not available, all entries will be taken on the day. Controls will be brought in from 4pm. The registration form can be downloaded and completed before you arrive.
Toilets – There are public toilets near the car park
Start and Finish – are close to the registration. Start times will be from 1.30pm to 3.00pm
Courses Close  – at 4pm – please report to the Finish by 4pm, even if you have not completed your course
BBQ – the event will be followed by a BBQ in the nearby picnic site – all welcome – bring your own food
Course Information
  • White (1.3 km – very easy)
  • Yellow (1.9km – easy)
  • Orange (3.4km – moderate)
  • Long Orange (5.4km – moderate)
  • Green(5.2km – hard)
 SportIdent (SI) electronic timing will be used. If you have your own SI please bring it with you. We will have SIs for hire free of charge but there is a £30 charge if lost.

Entry Charges

  • Seniors (born 1995 or earlier)
    British Orienteering members – £3
    Non-members – £5
  • Juniors (born 1996 or later)
    British Orienteering members – £1.50
    Non-members – £2.50
  • Groups (Adults + children)
    Each additional adult in a group: add £1
  • Each additional junior in a group: add 50p
