Membership benefits
ELO is planning at least 16 events in 2017 – details on our Events page. For most of these events the entry fee is £2 cheaper for members. So if you attend just 10 of our events this year you recoup your £20 adult membership fee (membership for juniors is only £3.50 per year).
Of course that £20 gives you many other benefits as well – such as reduced entry to events organised by other orienteering clubs. You gain several benefits from Scottish Orienteering including some useful discounts from Tiso and others. The third tier is your membership of British Orienteering which gives you Civil Liability insurance cover and eligibility to the Rankings system amongst many other benefits.
And ELO will pay your entry for Relay events such as the Scottish Championships Relay 2017 – which will be held on home turf at Binning Wood on Sunday 21st May. This is a fun format and more members taking part means we can enter teams which take best advantage of the handicapping system.
