Scottish Score and Scottish Inter-club Championships

These were held near Kingussie, in Achlean which is a beautiful open pine forest on interesting glacial moraine, and were well worth the travelling. Most age classes had 60 minutes to compete, and with Start and Finish right in the middle of the area, it had to be a quick decision to head north where there were a lot of low scoring controls or south, to the higher scoring but more spread out ones.
The north route proved to be a good choice as Trina and Sheila who both went that way won the W60 and W65 trophies, respectively.
Although the male part of the contingent did not cover themselves in quite the same glory, nevertheless their points contributed to the four required for the small club competition result in ELO being place third.
